Our Trip to London

Tower of London

We got off the tourbus to see the Tower of London. This amazing place has been a castle, a prison, a mint, and a museum. (Those are just the ones I remember.)
Me (Sarah) in front of the Tudor section of the Tower. Unfortunately, this section was closed, so we didn't get to see anything inside. Note the really huge raven standing on the lawn. The Tower Guards have traditionally cared for these animals as pets. Weird, but cool.
Judson in front of the same bit of Tower.
As we headed for an exhibit, we saw these fellows packing up their supplies. We think they were demonstrating armor, but we're not entirely sure. We liked their tents, though!
There was an impressive armor/weapons exhibit at the Tower. They had armor of all shapes and sizes on display. It's always funny to see how small the armor is. Intelectually I realize that people were smaller then, but it's strange to see such concrete evidence.
Judson's standing in front of the Bloody Tower where Sir Walter Raleigh was imprisoned on multiple occasions.
Another shot of Tower Bridge - this one from the Tower of London. It seemed appropriate.
